Guru Nanak Sahib stayed here for 40 days. This gurdwara is mentioned in 7 old manuscripts handwritten in Samvat 1792, 1822, 1838, 1868 & 1911 & Dasam Garanth 1907.
Every day after bathing in Kabul river Guru Nanak held congregation & gave message of God. There is a famous well in Gurdwara Sahib compound.
This Gurdwara is in a good condition but Sangat stopped coming here after it was taken by NATO Forces.
Nearly all residents of Jalalabad are Muslim, followers of Sunni Islam. Jalalabad is also a center of the country's Sikhs, although the community has dwindled in the city (and nationwide) since the wars began. Similarly it is also has a Hindu minority.
